Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by blue..., Oct 24, 2007.

  1. Has anyone ever done this ride?

If so can you tell me about it and what it was like… thanks

    Blue… :)
  2. thousands of bikes making their way to the Gp sounds good to me  haven't done it yet but hopefully next year, you do know it's been and gone for another 12 months?
  3. yes, thats why im asking now... i heard that they had over 800 riders this year!!

im keen on doing it next year myself but who knows what i'll be doing then.. but hey.. it doesnt hurt to plan ahead ;)
  4. mate it's all an experience, 'just do it'

done the canberra motorcycle awareness ride a couple of years ago 5000+ bikes now that was a experience, won't participate again
  5. Hi Blue, Did this ride this year. It is an experience, the schools, nursing homes, business just about everybody in Gippsland comes down to the highway to wave and watch you go by. Not a fast trip though especially up the front, the police tend to keep a lid on the speed with their escort vehicles.

I would definitely say worth it.

Re planning ahead, if you want to stay in Bairnsdale overnight book now, the hotels, motels etc were booked out months before the ride.
