Barry Sheene Memorial ride

Discussion in 'Racing, Motorsports, and Track Days' started by heffa, Aug 5, 2009.

  1. Going to be doing the Barry Sheene ride for the first time this year, and have a few queries about it. I know when and where it leaves, but cant find any details about how much it costs, and the route.
    Anyone got the low down?

  2. It's free  But they do limit the number of bikes

You have to get to the Bairnsdale Showground for inspection of bike, nothing to panic about. Then fill in some forms, they give you a compliance sticker and wait.......

I left as I wasn't aware you had to stay ready to go, for an hour or so

Rode down some great back roads, went and set up camp and joined them back at San Remo for the ride to the track, and then the lap of the circuit which was great fun.
  3. Anyone doing the ride this year?

Will be going down sometime Wednesday afternoon
  4. is this the only rise there is, or is there other ones?
