Baffle removable = retune?

Discussion in 'Maintenance and Servicing' started by ricardo68, Aug 8, 2013.

  1. Hi folks,

I just bought a cbr600f4i for sport touring duties. It has a Yoshi pipe with the baffle still in and it is pretty quiet.

It has a power commander on it ... If I remove the baffle should I get a retune or not worry?

  2. Removing baffles will be trivial unless you have a no CAT straight through. IE - if the yoshi is a slip on it should be no trouble.

If you have a CAT delete pipe then the reduced back pressure after removing the baffle may make the bike run lean and pop on decel.
  3. Ok great, thanks Bitstar! Yep just a slip on :)
  4. Awesome bike by the way
