Australian skydiving legend dies

Discussion in 'The Pub' at netrider.net.au started by basejumper, Mar 29, 2015.

  1. So devastated right now, u might have heard about a double skydiving fatality in Byron yesterday. Michael Vaughan was a total legend. The nicest guy u will ever meet. Dedicated his life to helping and teaching other skydivers. I did around 40 jumps with him over the years. He taught me a lot. The countries skydivers are hurting with this horrible news. Bsbd little mate.

  2. Sad news, but like the bike community we need to comfort ourselves with the idea that he died doing what he loved and not tripping and falling down the stairs or some other stupid death. Living life to the best you can right up until the end is a fine epitaph.

All the best to his family, friends and students Vale Michael.
