http://www.bikepoint.com.au/portal/...501554/ArticleID__2705275/DesktopDefault.aspx Hi guys looks like a challenge for all you R1 riders out there. Scootering around Australia has opened its doors to motorcycles to join its month-long economy challenge ride around Australia. Event organisers Julio Languiller (pictured) and Neil Relph said the event, to be renamed Around Australia on Two Wheels, had attracted a lot of attention from motorcyclists wanting to get involved. "The ride is only open to ten motorcycle teams, so riders need to secure their positions early," Mr Languiller said. "There will be a number of scooter teams competing, but given the interest we've received from motorcycling groups, they're also welcome to join us." Mr Languiller said this was the first event of its kind in this country. The month-long event was designed to test the economy of scooters and motorcycles and was not focussed on speed. "This is no small ride - it will cover over 15,000km in 30 days and that's significantly more than most riders even achieve in 12 months," he said.
