apprehensive about my new purchase: real or replica?

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' at netrider.net.au started by slyfox, Oct 3, 2005.

  1. i just purchased a leather jacket off ebay, pretty good price, however on close inspection of the pictures of the jacket its back appears to be unsymmetrical.

the oval detailing and the surrounding black area seems a little not quite right.. or am i just looking at it too closely? (maybe it's the angle of the picture..)

i'm now a little worried it's not a real collins jacket at all but a cheap made in thailand replica, opinions appreciated please  :)

  2. Nah, sallgood.

Its the photo that makes it look assymetrical

  3. It's doubtful if Collins are "replica-worthy", they don't really carry a BMW/Harley/Goldwing price-tag in the first place...
It'll be good. Wear and smile.

  4. If the price was good and it fits well, and, if you fall off it saves your hide, then it was all good all-round. Me, I'd never buy clothes or something I had to wear off eBay, too much variation in sizing. But, as Pete says, enjoy!
