Anyone fitted a low beam bulb to a GPX250 headlight?

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by Kane Mortlock, Jan 11, 2006.

  1. Hiya,

has anyone fitted a new bulb to their GPX250R headlight? I'm just wondering how much of a mission it is to get the headlight apart ...

    Kane. :)
  2. It was 3 years ago when I had the GPX..... I remember doing it and it was really straightforward.

Unplug the plug. Remove the rubber dust cover, then there will be a metal clip holding the bulb in place. Take out the clip, by squeezing it, then remove the bulb with a twist.

Dont touch the glass portion as it'll decrease the bulb's life.

Sorry for the vague description, but I only have the manual and my memory to go with.
  3. ...

    Thanks heaps ...

Now I just have to get the part ...

Any suggestions on that etc. still welcome!
  4. The light bulb ?

Just remove it, take it to an auto or motocycle shop and get a replacement . If all fails, ring up your local Kawasaki dealership.
