any diesel mechanics? cure my curiouosity

  1. ok i know diesel cars/trucks dont use spark plugs b/c diesel only requires high compression to make the boom.

    so if we got a bike and put high compression pistons in, n filled her up with diesel will she run?

    it;ll have to be injected yes? not carbie
  2. No where near that easy. You need to have extremely high fuel pressure to start with, way higher then standard fuel injection.
  3. I dare ya to try it... :LOL:

    More than anything else, the compression ratio in any normal petrol engine is only about half of what is required to ignite diesel.

  5. When i save up enough and buy a crappy bike to pull apart n rebuild. then after im done i might do it
