ANother Demerit Point Question

  1. If you earn 12 demerit points, and do your 3 month suspension or the 6 month 'sudden death' period, do you go back to zero after?

    Where's ask police when you need him :LOL:

  2. As I understand it, no. You must regain some points but takes 3 years to refresh all points..
  3. In NSW:

    Once you serve the suspension period you get your license back without any points being accrued, with the exception being if you lost your license via exceed speed >45km/h, then 6 demerit points will be applied to the re-issued license once the 6 months suspension has been served.
  4. I locked this thread because the guy in VICTORIA asked the question and 2 posters from NSW answered .
    Different states different laws
