    ---------------------------------

The Netrider Annual GP Dinner is approaching, and we need to select a venue. I have a place in mind, but am certainly open to other suggesstions.

    What we need...
Enough room for up to around 50 to 60 riders
Parking for both bikes and cars
Kid friendly, for those that want to bring them
    Reasonably priced meals
Drinks available, for those that might not want a feed also.
    Central location

A good sized pub bistro or beer garden would probably meet all these. Somewhere where we wouldn't have to make a booking would be ideal! (since people are natorious for not committing, pulling out, and generally being rude in this regard, etc.) The Village Green in Mulgrave is the current thinking, but not the best when it comes to the 'central location' criteria.

Anyone has some good alternative options that they know of and have been too? It would be good to set/finalise the location in the next couple of days.

  11. why not book a room at the telstra dome/olympic park/rod laver arena, then i can serve you and you can complain about my bad service and try to get me fired!

  12. Or "The vale" hotel on Spaghetti juntion (Springvale), lots of parking for bikes and cars, kids play room and outdoor seating if it's a nice night. Better food than the Villagwe green too.
I agree with the central location but for those travelling from interstate, wouldn't it be better to have it on the Phillip Island side of town?

  13. Hear, hear! Bell's would be an excellent choice.

  14. Serious this time, do you have Sizzler or something like in Melbourne???

     Top
  15. Both the Old England Hotel & the Sir Henry Barly Hotel in Heidelburg could fit that description.

     Top
  16. They still exist? All the Sizzlers I knew down here (and there wasn't many) have closed down.
