Aluminium Welding

Discussion in 'Maintenance and Servicing' started by BlackSparrow, Jun 24, 2016.

  1. Hi Everyone,

I have a CBR250RR and had a low side at eastern creek. No major damage major except the LHS swing arm spool has been ripped off and the aluminum knob with the thread for the spool has come with it. I'm looking for someone or somewhere who can weld it back on without going to the trouble of removing the swing arm.

Any thoughts or advice? Cheers in advance. :)
  2. Any good engineering place can do that no problem.
  3. Perhaps Google "aluminium welding mycity/suburb" replacing mycity/suburb with your city or suburb.
Any competent welding shop should be able to do it for you.
  4. Gaffer tape or cable tie. Simples.
