advice when buying a second hand bike

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by WeeBubba, Jul 10, 2011.

  1. hi there, this question has probably been asked before, but cant find it with my search, going looking at a second hand bike and have a couple of questions

    - what can i do to check if the bike is owing money
    - what can i do to check if the bike has been in a accident or is a repairable writeoff?
    - what can i do to check if it is stolen?
    - what other checks could i be doing?

many thanks for answers or pointing me to duplicate threads
  2. Google REVS
  3. check out the NSW RTA website. Vicroads provides a service where you enter the rego and it will tell you the chassis/engine no. and whether it's reported stolen, written off or encumbered.
  4. thanks will do but **** he pulled the ad!
