Adr 24 & tyre markings

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' at netrider.net.au started by vmaxer, Jan 14, 2012.

  1. Does anyone know why tyres are not required to have ADR or AS stamped on them in order to be sold in Australia ? ADR 24 covers tyres but that only gives reference to this organisation :

They seem to set the AS standards, which must only use DOT (USA) or E (Europe) as these are the only markings I have seen on tyres.
