Firstly, let me say I don't know anything about ear plugs. I don't even have my L's yet. But I stumbled across this product from kickstarter that I thought might be relevant to some riders. It is a earplug that allows you to adjust noise isolation to suit your personal preferences and/or riding conditions. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/763822365/shush-the-smart-earplug?ref=discover_pop As a beginner, I'd guess they'd be good because I can dial down the noise isolation so I can hear everything around me till i get more comfortable on the road and begin to gradually increase the level of isolation. I'd be keen to hear from the more experienced guys to find out how these might compare to existing plugs on the market.
