Adjust front brake lever and clutch on 08 Suzuki Intruder

Discussion in 'Modifications and Projects' at netrider.net.au started by Johnskis, Sep 2, 2010.

  1. Hi guys,

I was wondering if there is any way of getting the clutch and break leaver closer to the handlebar?

I have small hands and I'm find that I have to really stretch to reach either.

The clutch isn't a major issue. Its more the brake lever as I'm concerned that if I ever get into trouble and need to perform a ebrake, that extra millisecond needed to reach the leaver might have a dramatic difference to the end result.
  2. Not unless your model is equipped with adjustable levers.

You can buy aftermarket ones that are adjustable.
  3. How do you find out if they are adjustable?
  4. There will be adjusters on the levers, usually a dial for genuine stuff, or lever.

I reckon you'd know about it by know if they were adjustable.

A standard non adjustable clutch lever:

    non adjust.

A standard adjustable clutch lever: You use the dial to alter the reach

An after market adjustable lever: You move the lever to alter the reach

Just examples, obviously, yours will look slightly different
  5. okay I think mine is a non adjustable one. Would you happen to know how much they cost?
