[ADEL] G.C. Motorcycles fit (problems)

Discussion in 'Businesses and Service Providers' at netrider.net.au started by fred_kroft, May 8, 2005.

  1. Hello All

I went to G.C. Motorcycles in Adelaide to have a new front
fitted on Friday. This place was recommended by a friend.

They fitted the front rim back to front and dented my Suzuki
badge on the handle bar (i'm unhappy about that bit of the
    service).

Due to the rim being fitted the wrong way around (so
that the left disc is now fitting into the right brake and visa
versa), the left brake was dragging badly. When riding
home, i thought it was just the new tyre running in (new
    tyres handle weird sometimes).

I fixed the dragging brake by backing off the brake bolts
and axial clamp bolts.. and getting my old man to jump
up and down on it and then retighted.

I was wondering if these rims are engineered to
only go on (and turn) in a certain way ?

.. Or can they go on any way ?

    Cheers ;)
