Accessing front sprocket

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' at netrider.net.au started by geeth, Jan 17, 2009.

  1. Hi all,

I want to check / clean my front sprocket but obviously it's under a cover.
I have had a look at the cover it seems easy enough to remove but my concern is that gear selecter is attached to to it.

Are there any issues or anything that I need to know before I remove the gear selecter from the cover and with putting back on?

I am having issues describing this, so here a pic.

  2. Nothing special.

If the gear lever setting is about right, put a mark on the shifter shaft and the shaft clamping bit (the bits inside your inner circle), then unscrew the nut and slide off.

On the way back, just re-align the marks.
