ABBA, motorcycling pioneers.

Discussion in 'Jokes and Humour' at netrider.net.au started by rc36, Dec 19, 2009.

  1. In an idle moment today..., it occurred to me that the songs of ABBA probably were, in many cases, motorcycling songs, but that music critics of the time totally failed to notice this connection.

Witness, if you will, the following examples. I'm sure there's more.

Bling, Bling, why don't you give me a call?
    Money, money, money
    Shine (see "Bling, Bling")
    Rocket III Me
    Mama Mito
    The winner takes it all

    And so on...

Interesting, don't you think? The Swedish superstars were embedding subliminal motorcycling messages in their songs. Is it any wonder, then, that motorcycle sales skyrocketted in the 70's? And here we were thinking that it had something to do with the 1973 oil crisis. Silly people.

Can you suggest any other examples of ABBA songs that have hidden motorcycling meanings?
  2. Now I think you are just being silly rc36, step away from that Christmas alcohol ;)
