A* Octane jacket - Any good?

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' started by ~DadAgain~, May 5, 2009.

  1. I'm about to jump on a plane and find myself in the UK.

I'm also in the market for a new jacket.

I've seen AlpineStar Octane jackets advertised in Uk for < GBP200 (i.e. just over AU$400 at current fx rates).

Seems like a good deal compared to $600 sourced locally and assuming it fits well could be a good option. The question for anyone who has one of these jackets, is it going to be too hot in Brisbane? The jacket is perforated, but perhaps not as well ventilated as others.

    Any experience with this jacket?

  2. hi mate

i got my octane about 2 months ago, i live in toowoomba which is just outside brisbane, granted its abit colder here, but ive been to brisbane/gold coast lots on the bike and NO issues at all.

love the jacket to bits, venting is just right. its a multi season jacket!
  3. A Great Jacket. I wear it spring & summer.
