I've been reading alot of threads trying to find the rules and regs for lane splitting in Queensland. So far I've come up with: You can split on the left or the right through stationary traffic. (As reported by netriders) With this rule.. as you can split on either side, does this mean crossing the lane line is not an infrigment? If not all I have to do is indicate when I'm crossing over? To the reason I started this thread though.. After splitting through stationary traffic where do I stop? (may seem like a dumb question but it's puzzling me) If I stop infront of the first car at the intersection I'm sometimes in the lane pedestrains use to cross the street. Hmm hard to explain with out a diagram... ------------------| ------------------| ___________| CAR 1 | CAR 4 | CAR 2 | CAR 5 | CAR 3 | CAR 6 | If traffic is heading ^ (that way) There is a space between the white line we're supposed to stop at and the dotted path for pedestrians. If the car has over-stepped their mark that puts me in the path of pedestrians. Anyone?
