Often it's not that they didn't see you, let alone couldn't see you ... it's that they don't give a shit about anything but the tiny little part of the world they are totally focussed on. I believe Eric and Douglass called it a "remote automatic member actuator", a feature previously only found commonly in Volvos but now standard equipment on most cars.
Might also have had something to do with the Lambo doing 120 kph in a suburban street. Dude takes a quick look sees a car 500mtrs away and thinks meh plenty of time to turn here. Stupid drug dealer, serves him right.

In any case as a motorist it is your duty to observe not just look, observe a approaching car, observe the speed it is travelling, then make a turn based on that information
