Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by splitty, Mar 15, 2011.

  1. Hi i have a 98 cbr600f,went for a ride on sunday on the way home i stopped for fuel and when we went to leave it wouldn't start push the starter and can hear a buzzing noise? my mate pushed me down the driveway of the garage and it jump started ok, checked the battery it is reading 12.6 and the noise is coming from in front of the battery it looks like there is a bunch of relays in there? sorry i don't know much about electricals on bikes any help would b much appreciated thanks col.

  2. Not turning over, you'll hear a whirr and a sharp 'tick' sound. Battery low on juice, probably not holding charge. Nothing to do with relays. Throw the battery on a trickle charger overnight. If that doesn't work (drains again), replace it.
  3. thanks i will put it on charge now and try it to-morrow.
