91/gsx-r750 carb settings

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' at netrider.net.au started by ibast, Mar 21, 2007.

  1. Anyone got access to a workshop manual, so they can tell me the standard jets and settings for the 38mm carbs?

alternatively does anyone know where to get a free workshop manual for these?

85-88 and 93 on are readily available but not theses ones.
  2. Found this. Might help.
The jets are sized in increments of 2.5 or .025mm. Usual size for a gsxr750 with a stock airbox and air filter might be between #58 to #67.5.

  3. Man this probable explains why I had a big hole about 2.5K. I was blaming worn needles and jets.

I'll still replace those but I might back off one main jet size.
  4. Glad to help. If I can remember were I downloaded a manual for the RF I'll post that link as there was heaps for all bikes.
  5. I'm getting the impression that one for this bike is avail. I found the Haynes, but that gives US and UK. The UK settings are generally closer.

I had closer look on the weekend and discovered these power jets on mine have been replaced with plugs. They spent some time on a bandit.

What type of carbs did they run on the RF? I'm having trouble finding carb rebuild kits for the bike too, but I suspect the bst38ss were on other models.
  6. I'll check my PDF and let you know tonight.
