Discussion in 'Racing, Motorsports, and Track Days' at netrider.net.au started by hgsuzuki, Jun 8, 2009.

  1. Hey all,

Just had a ball at Broadford on Saturday, and was wondering what classes would a gsxr750 fall into,
as in are you put in with 1000's?

Also does anyone have any tips on setting up a stock '02 for track days?

Braided lines and good pads, decent rubber, what else....? Need the suspension to be setup too.

  2. For club racing it would be Formula 1A - Superbike (4 cyl 4-stroke 601cc - 1000cc), 4-stroke twin (over 650cc) & 250GP.

For national series racing 4 cylinder Superbikes must be 800cc - 1000cc.

  3. Your bike will be as good as the 1000, on most tracks.

  6. As Rog say's, your 750 will be as good as a 1000, in fact you'll probably find that you will lap quicker at all tracks with the 750, just at the island you'll get smoked into turn 1, you'll spend the whole race dicing with a 1000 down the back of the field; you'll pass him through the corners, he'll get you back down the straight.... been there, done that.
