Really like small metal engines. Shows workmanship.
Yes, I had a Mamod steam engine as a kid, metho burner and some water it would run for 20 mins.
So many questions..
What's the piston got for rings, and how is it lubricated?
How is fuel pressure maintained when the tank is BELOW the cylinder?
Where do the exhausted gases go?
All that said, what a little jewel!!
and so many other incredible clips linked to it too!
Love these little model engines, there is an amazing video on youtube with a V12 miniature engine, pretty amazing craftsmanship, as well as a cool v4 flame engine. Would be great fun to put one together but it seems everyone who builds them does it by hand with lathes and so on, cant seem to find a kit or something.
A guess: the fuel is highly volatile, & vaporises itself.
