30/6/10 Police Breathalysing Chapel St

Discussion in 'Hazardous Road Condition Reports' at netrider.net.au started by yksnirk, Jun 30, 2010.

  1. Cops diverting Northbound traffic off Chapel St, into the side-street that connects to the Coles carpark, and breathalyzing every car. One of the guys is a real power-hungry d***head!!

  2. It's not a hazardous ride report despite what you think.
I have no issue whatsoever with rbt's
  3. Neither do I smee, I have an issue with the bigger picture.
  4. Neither do I, I was advising that people travelling down Chapel St would be detoured down a side-street.
And that one of the cops was trying to stir things up even though I wasn't doing anything wrong.
Don't get me wrong... I strongly hate people that drink n drive, I won't go in the cage or on the bike if I (or another driver) have ANY alcohol whatsoever.
  5. What was the cop doing out of curiosity?
  6. Were you on the bike? were you drug tested?
  7. They've been doing the old Coles car park detour for years.

In the old days (20 years ago) they used to get the SES to set up lighting and do full roadworthys as well as breatho's.

S'pose they still do it on the occasional Saturday night.
