250i stalling problem

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by rpmorrell, Feb 26, 2009.

  1. Hi peoples,

I've got a nameless 250cc fuel injected bike with about 5,000K's on it which has idling problems.
It mostly stalls when pulling up to the lights & when coming to a stop etc.

The dealer asked me to put injector cleaner through which improved acceleration & the idling problem, however it soon returned.
They've tinkered with it to no avail & their diagnostic equipment doesn't register any fault.

I know of someone 100's miles away across the border who has same problem but worse, so I'm not really thinking it's a fuel problem.

Have you ever experienced / heard of someone needing to put injector cleaner through a relatively new bike?

As far as I'm aware the dealer does not know what is causing the problem, & because of the small number of this bike in this country / small importer then they can't get technical info.

    Wot thinketh yous???
