2006 VFR800 correct headlamp (bulb)?

Discussion in 'Maintenance and Servicing' started by doonx, Oct 18, 2013.

  1. I've dropped the left bulb on low beam. I don't have the handbook with me. Does anyone know categorically if the replacement bulb is a H7 as I suspect? My previous 2001 VFR was a H4

Opinions on replacing both at same time?

I'm off to the Island at 2:30pm and would like to swap the bulbs during lunch

    Thanks in advance

  2. H7 is a single-beam bulb. If the headlight unit has high and low, there's a pretty solid chance it will be H4.

It's rarely worth replacing a single bulb in a pair. The other will probably fail within the coming months.
  3. thanks mate. It's at around 49,000 clicks and this is the first time it's drop a lamp. I'll do both

  4. 2 new H4s fitted and working fine, thanks for the help
