VIC 2005 Suzuki GSXR-750 - Ascot Vale

Discussion in 'Stolen Bike Register' started by warden, Dec 10, 2006.

  1. A mate had his Blue 05 Suzuki GSXR-750 Stolen from the Ascot Vale area on Friday morning (08/12/06). They took it from his garage just after he'd pulled up at home.
The rego is DB-867, It stands out because it only has 1 white Oggy knob.
If anyone spots this can they call me on 0429 900 807 or if you happen to be in a vehicle with a bull bar, feel free to test said bull bar.

  2. S#*t not another one, Sorry to hear about it.
  3. Well thaty sucks. What is it with this area?!

Only about a month ago a bloke that lives in my apartment block had his TT stolen from our LOCK UP garage... Some people around here have no sense of security.

    Good luck with the search.

& I'll be buying that chain I've been putting off next weekend.
  4. Definately sux. Will keep a look out even though I'm not close... you never know. That is always my biggest fear, coming out of the shop or something and my bike/car isn't where I left it. Luckily I haven't had it happen to me yet (touch wood).

I agree chani, I think I'll be putting some more effort into getting a chain too. Do you know how much they go for? Are there any brands/sizes that are meant to be better quality? I assume I can go to any bike shop and they'll have em in stock?
  5. There seems to be a lot of theft going on lately...a friend of mine here in Sydney had his 636 stolen recently from his home.

Must be 'Christmas pressies for thieves' time
  6. damn that sucks. good luck!
  7. I got mine for $55 from a bike shop (about five years ago or more).
Brand is Ming Tay. Braided steel wire rope with an eye loop at one end and a u lock at the other. You can go around both tyres/frame and lock it to a post/other anchor point. A must have for any bike.
http://www.mingtay.com.tw/ Mine is the MT-330U. I haven't seen anything better.

I think it would be a good idea to get one of these aswell -> http://www.motorcyclemart.com.au/item.php?section=onRoad&idx=363. Sounds like it would be worth the investment.
  8. That sux!!! Hope u get your bike back! Damn suckas.
  9. This is making me bloody angry!!!!

I think it's time that we started doing something to catch these pricks, anyone got any ideas?
  10. Yeah, get one of these ->http://www.rojone.com.au/bikebandit.html
And put a virgin prepaid sim in it $50 or $100 will last a whole year.
  11. I suggest we start a Netrider Fight Club.
  12. That sucks Dude, good luck for a recovery.
