2 piece suits V 1 piece suits.... pros and cons??

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' at netrider.net.au started by Haysey, May 19, 2009.

  1. Hey all

Tried an Alpinestars vector 1pc suit on today, fit perfectly, want it for my spirited rides and going to start doing some trackdays....

my mate is trying to convince me to get a 2pc because its more comfortable.....

ive already got a jacket and draggins so thats covered..

what are the main differences between the suits? advantages etc?

  2. 1 piece is for riding. It holds you in a hunched over riding position. Wonderful on the bike but I can't pull down the rollerdoor with it on.
With race boots on too, one isn't that mobile off the bike.

Go for the one piece if you have other riding gear.
  3. like i said ive got jacket and pants anyways.....

    really it helps with posture?

someone said get a 2 piece because your still growing (im 23 grown like 2cm in 1 year so its not really much i think a suit would compensate for this)

my query is have there been cases of the zips ripping on a 2 piece... and is a 1 piece really uncomfortable?
  4. not on the bike, which is what it is designed for.
  5. thanks dark thats what i was looking for!

so looks like a 2 piece might be more suited for mainly street usage and a bit more versitile than a one piece......

might go try some more on!
