1976 Honda GL1000 Goldwing Cafe Racer

  2. if anything, these mods make the Lead Wing look even porkier and overweight than it does standard :LOL:.
  3. I actually quite like it. Apparently when Honda first brought out the GL it was intended as a superbike. It took the touring route later on.
  4. A parent of a child I taught bought a brand new one in 1976 and I got to ride it soon afterwards. Admittedly I was a relatively inexperienced rider myself, but it just blew me away. It was silent, smooth as a baby's you-know-what and the weight ceased to be an issue as soon as it was moving.

    This one's as close to stock as you'll get; the only non-standard items appear to be the crash bars. (oh, and the daggy headlight visor)

  6. Sound is all wrong. Looks like a 1920s Indian, but sounds like a WRX.

    If it looks like a steam engine, I reckon it should sound like one too. :LOL:
