VIC 1966 Triumph Bonneville T120R (in a '70 Frame)

Discussion in 'Bikes for Sale' started by Rone, Aug 14, 2016.

  1. NOTE** - Will consider possible swap for modern classic / retro 2010 onwards. (i.e.: Modern Triumph Bonny or Thruxton, Kwaka W800, MotoGuzzi V7, etc.)

    Asking $10,000 (reasonable offers considered)

Classic T120R Bonneville seems to have a 1966 Engine (DU34919) but in a 1970 Frame (Frame has also been stamped with DU34919), mild custom treatment.

Recent USA import, current Australian owner has had the bike in his possession since early 2014 unfortunately previous history unknown. Originally purchased through Classic Motorcycles in Seaford, Vic. Known mechanical work done, Top End rebuild which included new Pistons, Rings, Gaskets, etc. completed by Classic Motorcycles plus upgraded Electrics (ie: modern Regulator) carried out by Coburg Auto Electrical Service who specialise in classic motorcycle restos. Twin Carburettor version not Single Carb. Modifications include, '70 model seat (has some minor scuffing on both sides at rear), lower 'buckhorn-style' handle bars, aftermarket 'Trumpet-style' mufflers, Metallic Silver paint work on tank with recent Black & White Pinstriping added by USA Pinstripe Artist, Von Hot Rod. Also comes with a new Faux Leather Toolbag (as seen in photos). Some parts look as though they have been replaced, others seem to be original. Overall about 85% of Chrome is in good condition. Bike runs well and is currently on Historic Club Registration in Victoria which is non-transferrable.

Only serious interest and offers considered.
