March 23rd, Days after picking up my toy.
Street Triple Rx 2015 is the bike I didn't believe existed. I wanted a naked bike that had a reputation for quality, was light enough for me to easily move around, was not overly tall, and appealed to my female instincts. The problem I had was there were a number of bikes out there that met the first 4 requirements, however the aesthetics of other bikes were simply too masculine. I wasn't looking for something that looked like an angry beast, I wanted a bike that looked classy stock standard, with a hidden beast inside.
That is exactly what my Rx is, high quality, light, perfect for my 155cm height, and is a classy piece of engineering with a hidden beast inside. So far we have only traveled 517km together, and she is starting to feel as though she is ready for her 500km 1 month service, however I am sure that once everything is re-tightened, the thin synthetic oil is replaced, and settings adjusted, she will continue to make me smile for years to come. I might even book us in for a track day
Aug 22nd 15
So my Rx and I have now travelled 2584km together, majority of which is commuting to and from work. Upgrades since March include, both front and rear break reservoirs, a usb port, a couple of led lights, the red dip stick and oil refill caps, and Arrow rear sets. I also have a Daytona comfort seat on order, however it is taking its time to arrive.
I was informed when I purchased the bike that it may develop a tapping noise in the motor, apparently the noise is common with the triples and nothing to worry about. However no such tapping has occurred.
My favourite upgrade would have to be the rear sets. I have little feet, so they have made riding that little bit more comfortable. I have also found that the quick shifter response is snappier with the rear sets, which equals more fun
So my update is that I love the bike even more every day, just need to get hubby a road bike so I have someone to ride with, and start adding a few serious kms to my toy
