Sidecar Project

  • I bought this years ago from a farmer in Bathurst. The bike was a real mess and in need of some attention.
    Mostly I fixed and replaced what was needed, as I never intended it to be a full rebuild. Given the time and effort I should of striped it to nothing. The lessons you learn.

  • 1980 GS1000G Shaft drive. About 90Hp. 19inch front 18 inch rear. 250kg in weight. 5 speed box.
  • Dyna 2000 Ignition, New Stater, New indicators and headlight assembly. CR 29mm smooth bore carburetors. Manual cam chain tensioner. 4 into one headers and muffler assembly. Rebuilt suspension, brakes, Braided brake lines Goodridge. New rear icon shocks. New clutch cable leaver and heavy duty springs. Powder coated rimes with new bearings. Stainless bolts where needed. Altered triple tree, to reduce trail and keep the original look. New headlight brackets LSL. New switch gear and push pull throttle cable to work with CR carburetors. Bike painted original colour. Seat re trimed to original.
    Sidecar,painted and trimmed to match bike, new toneu cover with blue trim. Painted sidecar frame.
