Ducati 1199S Panigale

Average User Rating:
  • This is my current road / track bike. Was the first bike delivered to Melbourne in May 2012 - 3 months late of course - this is Ducati we're talking about! So far has done 2,600km's.

Did my first ever track day on it at Philip Island in damp conditions (thank god for TC & ABS!) and have done one at Eastern Creek since moving back to Sydney. Looking to do more - hopefully at least one a month. Also did the Bernie Hatton course on The Farm track on the Central Coast on it.

Aside from stock, its had the following additions:
    • Termignoni full system & slip-ons
    • Rapid bike ECU
    • Dyno-tuned by Motologic in Melbourne
    • MWR HE Air Filter
    • Race seat (stock seat very thin and low)
    • Carbon rear hugger
    • Clutch-side casing carbon cover
    • Ignition switch carbon cover
    • Swing arm carbon guard
    • Countershaft sprocket carbon cover
    • Rear shock absorber carbon guard
    • Carbon tail tidy / plate holder
    • Carbon tank protector
    • Tyre warmers
    • Front & Rear paddock stands
    • Have painted the rather obtrusive rear pegs satin black so they blend in more. Removing / addint them is a 3 hour job as requires removing the heat shield under the seat. So they're either on or off!
    • Rossi's autograph on the rear tail piece / passenger seat cover
    Soon to come:
    • Factory heat shield - very welcome as the bike is virtually undridable in traffic in summer without leathers - the heat is unbearable. Warranty item so no cost
    • New engine map - supposed to speed up quick shifting if nothing else - warranty item, no cost
    • Rearsets - pegs are slippery and the rear brake lever is too high so really need these. Think I'll go with Rizoma
    • 41 tooth rear sprocket as per the 1199R version once it becomes available
    • Considering putting the white "Ducati Corse" stickers on the side fairings as per the R version
