There is always a silver lining to every cloud....
Again, thank you all Nettie's sending through well wishes after my skippy encounter last weekend. They certainly make you feel the rider community sympathy and spirit.
The doc said that what I have is incurable or irreparable... I'm a complete nutter. Nuts about riding! (Got the all clear).
Today too, my 3 month old, 17,000km lawnmower is being retired to greener pastures -
It has been written off.
But.... Out with the old, in with the new!!
Just waiting to see when I can get delivery for lawnmower no.2, which shouldn't be too long now considering its sitting in the showroom as we speak! Extras and helmet ordered.
Oompa Loompa on an orange lawnmower will ride again!!!

I will extend a second thank you, to two other NR characters kate & sjmho for having kept me occupied enough through out the day, stopping me from pacing up continually & looking at my watch every 2 mins waiting for news on my lawnmower.
kate is a newbie both to NR forum, as well as the magical hobby that is riding. She flew down from Darwin to Melb for a whirlwind tour of every city motorbike shop to raid every gear rack & lift her (longer than my) leg over every bike... And I even made her try out my (hopefully) future 2wheeled hubby!! Grrrr baby!
Glad you now have all your safety gear to start off your (safe) journey!

After describing her preparation so far into this sport, her research & her training for her license / P's; this gal has it sussed & she'll get far... Literally because she's already picking sjmho & my brains for long term touring tips! Lol

There's nothing like a bike to bring strangers together, for conversation flowed easily after introductions.
Needless to say; sjmho now has another groupie! Lol
Bloody champ bike tourer!!

If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But make sure you share it with your mates!
