Eden is a lovely harbour town with two great bays, sheer wow-worthy cliffs and good surrounds. :snaphappy: Most surprisingly was the amount of good food looking coffee shops, cafes and hipster restaurants :) But mostly it was recommended to me by several people to go check out the Killer Whale Museum (Eden Killer Whale Museum - Home Page). Highly worth it and recommended for $10 well spent! I think it was Steve VtecSteve Vtec who quoted a random fact about the biggest whale ever hunted by hand... So here's the proof... Checked out Brown mountain and the next door mt, creatively called little brown mountain.
Went to the bay to find "my" (Short) Point, complete with giant sperm sculpture and sun chairs. Can't get better than this! :hilarious:

All at a leisurely pace, went back into Bega to check out what Bega is best known for... Lactose filled yellow stinky goodness that is Bega cheese.

The heritage "museum" is free and good for giggles because I've never seen a cow with 3 udders! But alas... Another draw card there is free cheese tasting :) (Bikers love free stuff, no?) :p

Thanks for the information about what to do and see in the Eden area. I'm planning a ride around NSW starting next month and Eden was one of the corners of the state, I was planning on visiting. Great photos to. All the best and thanks again.

Sounds like you had a grand day out, V!

Great to meet you. If you're ever down this way again, look me up and we'll get a ride in.

Glad to hear you are tracking well. Sounds like it was a lovely and well-deserved rest day - eden indeed! I would've had to roll home after an opportunity for those Bega taste tests!

I'm in stitches at the idea of a big poo monument at brown mountain. I think the artist was making an eloquent joke!

It's like a special lottery to see who wins the multi-post in Valvoline's blog each time!

you get to visit the famous pie shop. if you like chilli pies, think you may have said you did, try the Volcano pie, it's not scary if you like hot food. I will be in Wollongong on Friday for work, are you still in the area? might be able to say hi and grab a coffee with you and icemaker if it works out as I may be unable to join you guys on the weekend.

btw you still have the 'multi-post' thing happening in your blog. your Robertson post appearing 35 times.

I think that will be Robertson... That's tomorrow! :D
