Today was a reunion & goodbye (for awhile) of sorts to a long-term girlfriend of mine; one of which was, and still is a role model for globe trotting & traveling. She put my backpacking, traveling & resourcefulness to shame!

The plan was to go for a short scoot & toot through BrisVegas & city surrounds. Playing biker chicks on not-so-cafe racers, cafe hopping. However it was not to be, as a screw was discovered wedged firmly in the SV's back tyre and no real way to get it fixed on the spot. In the end it was just a lovaly catch up in the sun at Kangaroo Cliff Point with the Brisbane city skyline in the background.

And what about that old flame? ...Well... the reunion with my old flame was more one sided than anything. As soon as I saw him, I went weak at the knees. My stomach clenched and memories started flashing through my mind.

Oh, my old SV650... The sound! As soon as I turned it on, I instantly forgot about my lawnmower. And Oh! how I wanted the power of a V-twin under me, the throaty low sound of the Yoshi pipe and a 'normal' coloured bike!
I miss my time with this baby out on the track. Or passing cars... or taking off at the lights.... or just sitting on him! lol I'm just so glad he went to a good home and is loved just as much by such a bomb of a blonde biker chick!

It was nice to see the pair, and however short the ride (all) together was, was still cherished. Back to the GC in the dark, once again dreaming of a more powerful bike.
