On my commute home today, I spotted this on the road:
Not exactly on the line most motorcycles would take but if someone was having an off day... 300mm of shinny metal isn't going to help. So I went back and got it. Makes me wonder what other random well placed motorcycle "traps" people have defused.
Lets start a fun little thread about your most embarrassing bike drops or even a few of them.
Some people don't like to talk about it but myself will admit to it and have a laugh later on.
I'll start off by 2 of my most embarrassing or memorable:
I had just started riding and thought i'd fang around the small back yard of my mums to try and learn. Bad mistake... I dropped my 09 kawasaki...
Full article/throttle snatch fix suggestions: Video review: Suzuki's brilliant GSX-S1000 is the supersport of the naked bike class
TL;DR: it's a bloody beauty, especially for the price. Might be the best wheelie bike on the market. A bit overgeared and snatchy on the gas but those are easy fixed.
It truly is a mad, mad place! We went both Saturday and Sunday. They say the attendance through the gates was 105,000 people, but they also reckon quite a few thousand (10,000) slip in through the forest over the fences Getting there and back is atrocious, firstly getting a train in Florence from a platform that hardly anyone knows exists! Then, when you get to the closest train station to...
Wife made me a happy man this week by saying maybe I should buy myself the bike I have been talking about for over a year.
So went to dealer and test rode the MT09. I was pretty devo......
The bike I have read about for so long was a disappointment. I couldn't believe how much confidence you lose with that suspension. Throttle was a little snatchy but you get used to it. It made me feel like...
A great thing, even if I do need to do concentration tongue to wheelie it.
Road test: 2016 Triumph Tiger Sport is refined, versatile and very quick
Third weekend writing about my riding experience and sharing it with you, it's been great! Aside from the useful tips every single post I've put up here has generated. I've practiced each and every tip I got and today I finally got the gist of it all, this big bike became an extension of myself and felt as if I was flying through the roads weightless!! I get it now!!
After getting completely sick of frozen hands I decided to bite the bullet and invest in the new Venture Heat, Alt Heated Gloves from Zarkie. I decided to write a review on them based on my positive experiences.
My initial worries about getting heated gloves have been speculative over how bulky they would be. This new version of heated glove claim to strip away much of the bulk of it's...

I woke before dawn on Sunday and sat thinking about where I might ride as the sun came up and coffee went down. South and east to the tablelands and ranges with a forecast seven-degree maximum and the possibility of early morning black ice didn’t appeal. West is big sky, straight road cruiser country for another day. North it was. When I reached Dubbo at half-past eight it looked to be a...
Took the Enfield out for a short ride over Tomewin Mountain and ended up being an all dare with an unexpected dirt section.
After coming over the mountain I went on to the Sphinx Rock cafe for a quick coffee....and cake! and because it was still early I thought I would continue to Nimbin for a look. It was such a nice day with little traffic I continued to Lismore and then to Mullumbimby via...
